Job Summary

Responsible for overall sales activity throughout assigned market/product range, including developing new business opportunities.

To grow the sales volume, value and market share through the development of business within all commercial channels of the business with existing products and new product ranges across countries and regions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective business strategies to expand market presence and customer base within assigned regions.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business leads, partners, and key accounts in the oil & gas downstream and fuel-handling sectors.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, and government agencies to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and quotations in collaboration with the engineering and product teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers and vendors to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate pre‑qualification, tender documentation, and proposal submissions to ensure compliance with client and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM tools.
  • Provide technical consultation and support to clients, including product demonstrations and after‑sales coordination.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, webinars, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns targeting petroleum and industrial markets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical discipline).
  • 5–6 years of experience in business development, sales engineering, or project management within the Oil & Gas, Petroleum Equipment, or Fuel Systems industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong commercial mindset with a customer‑centric approach.
  • Able to influence, collaborate, and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Self‑driven, independent, and proactive with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (within Malaysia and internationally such as the UK, New Zealand, Indonesia, and other regions in Asia) for client meetings, exhibitions, and site visits.
