Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales & Marketing professional to support a new strategic packaging project and to expand Polytainer’s customer base across industrial and commercial sectors.
This role focuses on developing new customers, managing key accounts, and driving market entry for new packaging solutions, while working closely with internal operations, production, and management teams.
The ideal candidate is comfortable with B2B industrial sales, understands customer technical requirements, and is able to translate them into practical packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customers in industrial, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and logistics sectors.
- Promote and commercialise new packaging solutions to both existing and new customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, meetings, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (procurement, operations, QA, engineering).
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and executed.
Marketing & Market Development
- Support market entry strategies for new packaging projects and applications.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Collaborate on sales presentations, product positioning, and marketing materials.
- Participate in customer visits, industry events, and trade exhibitions where required.
Account Management & Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups.
- Monitor customer feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Planning
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Track project progress and customer onboarding milestones.
- Contribute ideas for pricing strategies, product improvements, and expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
- 2–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial products, manufacturing, or packaging.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable with technical discussions and solution‑based selling.
- Self‑motivated, structured, and results‑oriented.
- Willing to travel locally and regionally when required.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
Preferred Experience (Advantage)
- Experience selling to multinational companies or industrial customers.
- Exposure to regulated industries (food, chemical, pharmaceutical, logistics).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes or industrial supply chains.
