Overview
The Account Relationship Manager is responsible for driving commercial banking sales and delivering sales targets assigned by management. This role reports to the Manager, Business & Corporate Banking (CMB Centre).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Portfolio Management
- Acquire new account relationships.
- Manage a portfolio of existing Commercial Banking accounts to grow funded and non-funded income.
- Write credit applications for new accounts and ensure timely review and renewal of existing accounts.
- Maintain acceptable asset quality by being proactive and market-aware regarding accounts and industries.
- Collaborate with product partners including Trade Services, Global Markets, and Deposit & Liability Management to meet client needs comprehensively.
- Ensure banking facilities comply with credit lending policies.
- Maintain the asset quality of the bank at all times.
Account Prospecting
- Identify and contact prospects.
- Assess prospects' financing needs.
- Prepare and submit credit applications to Wholesale Credit.
- Follow up on acceptance of offers.
Account Management
- Monitor utilization of facilities.
- Review borrower’s facilities periodically or annually.
- Maintain contact with customers, e.g., through site visits.
- Explore cross-selling opportunities.
Jobholder Requirements :
- Malaysian citizen.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial loans or sales.
