POSITION: Business Analyst
LOCATION: Kuala Lumpur
Scope of Service
The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing, defining, and documenting business processes and requirements related to Retail Applications mainly focusing on the petrol subsidy program. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, understanding multiple application integrations, and ensuring compliance with governmental policies.
Expected of Service
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications for development teams.
- Develop process flows, business logic diagrams, and user journey maps related to the petrol subsidy program.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimizations.
- Work with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between multiple applications (POS systems, digital payment platforms, etc.).
- Define system workflows and data exchange mechanisms.
- Ensure business logic aligns with government subsidy policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on policy changes and recommend system updates accordingly.
- Act as a bridge between business teams, technical teams, and government agencies.
- Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Manage communications with dealers on the new implementation and manage operation support with the operations team.
- Define and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) plans. Validate system functionality against requirements and business logic. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) user stories, and system specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects, preferably involving subsidy or financial systems.
- Proven experience working on multi-application ecosystems with complex business logics.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.
- Understanding of application architecture and database structures.
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Understanding of petrol subsidy mechanisms and regulations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with digital payment systems, loyalty programs, or retail fuel station operations is a plus.
