Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Perform analysis and design for various bridge and port structural components, including superstructures, substructures, foundations, and other related elements.

Prepare design calculations in accordance with the prescribed formats and engineering standards.

Provide technical input to the draftsperson for the development of engineering drawings.

Review check-print drawings prepared by the draftsperson to ensure compliance with design requirements.

Verify the completeness, accuracy, and alignment of drawings with project specifications.

Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BQ) for the assigned project scope.

Review and address comments from the Client, Independent Checking Engineer (ICE), and relevant authorities as applicable.

Attend meetings together with the Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer as required.

Conduct site visits when necessary to support design validation and project coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 1-5 years of design experience in Bridge and Marine (Structure) projects.

Experience in designing Elevated Guideway Structures for rail systems (LRT, MRT, Metro) is an advantage.

Knowledge in designing long-span bridges, segmental construction, and strengthening works of existing bridges.

Familiarity with international codes of practice.

Proficiency in engineering software such as OpenBridge, MIDAS-Civil, SBD, STAAD-Pro, etc.

Strong report writing, communication, and project coordination skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
