A leading duty-free retailer in Malaysia is seeking a Brand Ambassador to represent their brand professionally and enhance customer experience. Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, managing stock displays, and handling customer complaints. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail, particularly with luxury brands, and possess strong communication skills. A command of English and Mandarin is a bonus. The role offers a dynamic environment focused on customer engagement.
As a Brand Ambassador in our Heinemann Duty Free Shop, you will:
Be an ambassador for the represented brand and portray a professional and customer-oriented image at all times.
Achieve and exceed brand sales targets set by the brand/store manager.
Promote and push slow moving items and/or deleted products to maintain freshness and high turnover of the brand/assortment.
Maintain a tight control on giveaways according to the mechanics set.
Perform and abide to the Standard Operating Procedures and company policies so as customs’ requirements.
Ensure the display stock is polished and merchandised in an appropriate manner in line with visual merchandising guidelines provided by the brand/company.
Ensure immediate redisplay or replacement for stocks that have been sold or removed from the shelves. Ensure “First-in, first-out” – method is applied at all times.
Assist the company during stock takes by preparing/organizing, counting and investigating stocks and potential stock losses.
Help with organization and execution of any promotional events of the respective brand.
Handle customer complaints tactfully in a professional manner with proper follow-up.
Assist the counter/shop manager in receiving, unpacking, checking deliveries versus relevant paperwork.
Attend to trainings organized by the company or brand to enhance employee’s skills.
Always being aware of security issues concerning company assets such as stocks and cash that may be targeted through shop theft with incident report and proper follow-up.
Practical experience in sales or in a customer-oriented business, and preferably, previous professional experience with retail luxury brands.
Good command of English and Mandarin will be an additional advantage.
Genuine passion of engaging with people, a natural service orientation and a talent for creating memorable moments for customers and colleagues.
Strong team, communication, and sales skills – especially the ability to understand the needs of customers with a wide range of cultural backgrounds through active listening and to act on them accordingly.
Be presentable and well-groomed at all times and abide to the Dress Code standards.
