Branch Services, Assistant Manager (Ipoh)

As the Person-in-Charged of the Ipoh Branch Operations related matter to ensure the smooth, cost efficient and efficacious running of the branch in providing the following: intermediary support, provision of policy services, new business submissions processes, claims documents handling, premium collections, data processing and record keeping and office maintenance related matter office and payment security, maintenance of facilities and upkeep of office premises.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruits, trains, supervises staff to ensure high standards and quality of work, responsiveness in providing sales support and customer services;

Ensures daily tally of premium collections, security of funds and timeliness of deposits, good record keeping and reporting of these;

Ensures collection of documents, transmittal to HO, and follow ups with intermediaries, customers and business partners to fulfill outstanding requirements in order to increase business captured, completion of policy services or claims settlement;

Conducts periodic meetings and training for intermediaries to explain new circulars, processes, business rules, compliance matters, and changes to regulations;

Manages and approves staff leave, or absence to ensure good performance during business peaks and troughs;

Approves staff reimbursement claims, office supplies, timely and orderly payments for licenses, stamp duties, utilities/rent/office maintenance;

Ensures staff observe office security and office cleanliness requirements, and ensures staff secure office premises at the end of each business day;

Ensures staff discipline, performance, attendance/punctuality, observance of company policies, and conducts appraisal interviews, performance reviews and recommends PMS awards and staff upgrades/promotions;

Ensures standards of customer services, telephone inquiries, greetings, escalations of service matters or customer complaints, and assists with conducting inquiries, recording and collection of materials to resolve these;

Approves policy service requests, benefits and claims payments up to conferred authority (if any), recommends course of action for those beyond, and always with high standards of decision making, judgment, and compliance;

Attends periodic meetings and townhalls, training and development courses as directed by HO, and carries out assigned projects, plans and other assignments given,

Ensures branch meets SLAs and KPIs and takes corrective and preventive actions if these are not met,

Any other duties that the company may assign from time to time.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in insurance industry with experience in branch servicing.

Preferably candidates with experience in Branch Servicing or equivalent with experience in a leadership role.
