Job summary

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for daily operation of the fuel-fired steam boiler, including pre-start checks, ignition and startup, load adjustment, normal shutdown, and emergency shutdown, strictly following the equipment operation manual and DOSH regulations.
• Real-time monitor the operating parameters of the boiler (pressure, water level, temperature, fuel supply), ensuring equipment operates stably within the specified range (steam pressure 1.0-1.2 MPa, water level within normal water level ±50mm).
• Perform regular maintenance tasks: daily blowdown (3-4 times/day), weekly safety valve testing, monthly filter cleaning, and truthfully fill in the operation log.
• Regularly inspect the boiler system (fuel supply, feed water, flue gas, safety accessories), promptly identify and report potential faults (such as leakage, abnormal pressure fluctuations, etc.).
• Comply with environmental protection and safety requirements, ensure that smoke emissions meet standards, properly handle debugging wastewater, and do not directly discharge.
• Participate in emergency drills and accident handling (such as fuel leakage, overpressure, low water level, etc.), and strictly follow the emergency procedures.
• Complete the handover work, communicate in detail the operating status, existing problems and precautions.

Job Requirements

• Hold a valid boiler operation certificate issued by Malaysia DOSH (mandatory), and be familiar with relevant regulations such as the "Factory and Machinery Act 1967".
• At least 2 years of practical experience in operating fuel/gas-fired steam boilers (those with 8t/h, 1.2MPa boiler operation experience or those with a background in the chemical industry are preferred).
• Proficient in boiler startup inspection, ignition process, pressure/water level control, blowdown, and emergency handling, and able to understand equipment operation manuals.
• Understand the industrial safety and environmental protection requirements in Malaysia (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA), have a strong sense of safety, and possess risk prevention capabilities.
• Have basic English or Malay language communication skills; those who can communicate in Chinese are preferred.
• In good health, able to adapt to shift work (2-shift system), work seriously and responsibly, and possess good teamwork spirit.
• Those familiar with the maintenance of boiler safety accessories (safety valves, pressure gauges, water level gauges) are preferred.
