Responsibilities

• Develop, customize and sustain software (including BIOS) for Kontron embedded hardware platforms.
• Debug and support bring-up of embedded software and BIOS.
• Perform software/BIOS validation according to Kontron defined test cases.
• Collaborate with other design groups to achieve optimum system performance.
• Follow design rules and procedures to ensure software maintainability and reusability.
• Prepare software engineering documents.
• Maintain, upgrade and customize design as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong C/C++/assembly coding and debugging skills.
• Experience with microcontroller/microprocessor architectures.
• Familiarity with x86/PC architecture, embedded tools and operating systems such as Windows 10 and Linux.
• Knowledge of protocols and standards such as SMBus, PCI/PCIe, ACPI, SMBIOS, EEPROM, LVDS, VBIOS, GOP.
• Experience with legacy BIOS cores and EFI/UEFI, and development environments such as AMI Aptio, Phoenix, EDK2.
• Self‑motivated, independent and proactive.
• Positive attitude and good team player.
