Job description

We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for enterprise-grade data and AI workloads. The role will be part of a large-scale digital transformation initiative with a leading global consulting firm, supporting the build-out of robust and secure cloud environments for the client’s data engineering and analytics ecosystem.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps, Terraform, and automation scripting, coupled with strong collaboration skills to work closely with development, infrastructure, and data teams.

The Role.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and AI workloads using Azure DevOps.
• Support infrastructure-as-code deployment and configuration using Terraform.
• Manage environment segregation (development, staging, production) and enforce access control, compliance, and deployment governance.
• Automate build, testing, and release processes for components such as Airflow, Databricks, and data services.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize deployment workflows and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms to ensure infrastructure reliability and performance visibility.
• Drive operational excellence by contributing to automation frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all deployment activities comply with security, audit, and cloud governance standards.

The Expertise.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
• Certifications in Terraform or Kubernetes administration are an advantage.

Experience & Background

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in Azure.
• Strong command of Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Experience supporting deployments for data platforms (Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, or data warehouses).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security practices.
• Strong scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Proven background managing multi-environment setups and production-grade deployments.
