General Summary of Position
The engineer is responsible of developing, managing and delivering medium to high complexity technology/automation projects globally. All works to be completed with compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices. Throughout the project, Principal Engineer is also expected to keep track of the project’s progress, including tracking of schedules and costs as well as produce relevant engineering documentations.
What would your role look like?
Reporting to the Manager Engineering, you will:
- Interface with end users and ensure all project's technological requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.
- Develop automation solutions for various manufacturing processes within the company, including producing conceptual designs, 2D/3D models, simulations, and prototypes.
- Ensure designed components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry, business and safety standards.
- Modify, install, and commission works at site and ensure all procedures within the company security and safety policies are complied.
- Recognize project’s Key Success Indicators and manage the work within scope, quality, time and cost constraints. Accountable for overall project success.
- Perform project risk reviews and implement appropriate risk mitigation.
- Facilitate communication with all involved stakeholders, including escalating issues to the next level of management.
- Ensure engineering documentation and records are maintained appropriately.
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
- Ensure knowledge transfer to necessary personnel when authorized or directed to do so.
- Ensure that all activities conducted either personally or by subordinates comply with Malaysia’s legal requirements and the highest company and ethical standards.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
- 1-3 years of professional experience in the area engineering background, preferably in rubber gloves/rubber related (medical devices/disposables) manufacturing environment.
- 2D/3D drawing - AutoCAD, Sketchup, Inventor, Fluid simulation software - Ansys
- MS Office software.
- Understanding of manufacturing process of dipped latex products.
- Experience in designing machines with servo drives and robots.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
