A national economic institution in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Associate Economist/Economist to advance thought leadership in labour market policies. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Economics and 2-3 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly in labour policy. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth research, providing technical support to the government, and preparing relevant reports and publications. The position is full-time with a focus on policy development and strategic advocacy.
Conduct research and propose suitable policies on labour market to advance the Bank’s thought leadership and policy advocacy in the national labour market priorities.
Academic Qualifications:
First Degree in Economics (preferred), Econometrics, Mathematics, Accounting and Finance or related field. Master's in Economics and Econometrics is an advantage
Experience:
Preferably 2 – 3 years working experience in Economics and Financial Sector. Experience in labour policy work would be an advantage.
