Job Details

We are currently looking for a ADON for a renowned hospital based in Sarawak. This position requires your urgent attention.

  • Reporting to: Group DON
  • Location: Kuching

The Role
  • Develop and implement nursing strategies aligned with hospital goals, ensuring operations are efficient, cost-effective, and adaptable, including leading technology adoption and service expansion.
  • Establish policies and best practices to ensure nursing excellence and strict compliance with MOH, Malaysia Nursing Board, and accreditation standards, maintaining the highest priority on patient safety.
  • Lead workforce planning for optimal staffing and skill mix, provide direction for student training, professional development (CPD), and specialty training to build future nursing leaders.
  • Oversee financial stewardship (budget/cost containment) and resource utilization, while driving continuous quality improvement initiatives and using data-driven performance metrics to enhance patient experience and service efficiency.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse with the Malaysia Nursing Board, with a Post Basic qualification being an advantage.
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years of working experience, including 8 years of management experience in the related healthcare field.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities, with a demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
