Job summary

A global consulting firm in Malaysia is seeking a Tax Consultant to assist clients with tax compliance obligations and prepare tax returns.   • Assist clients with their tax compliance obligations.

  • Assist clients with resolution of tax issues with the Tax Authority.
  • Attend to enquiries on technical issues from other departments.
  • Assist senior tax colleagues on technical and compliance matters.

Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist clients with their tax compliance obligations
  • Preparing clients’ corporate and individual tax return
  • Assist clients with resolution of tax issues with the Tax Authority
  • Attend to enquiries on technical issues from other departments within the Company
  • Assist senior tax colleagues/subordinates on tax technical and compliance matters
  • Anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues accordingly
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • At least a University’s Bachelor’s Degree and/or post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law, Economics or equivalent
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed
  • Candidates with 1 year of experience in the tax field will have an added advantage
  • Proficiency in English is essential
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Service-oriented and commercially focused
  • Strong drive to excel professionally and to guide and motivate others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
