Overview
At aCommerce, the Senior Key Account Manager leads the FMCG category and drives the ecommerce strategy in social commerce on behalf of clients. The role includes developing, managing and executing promotional and marketing campaigns and overseeing overall fulfillment and day-to-day operations to deliver client revenue and business growth. The role requires leadership of a team and collaboration with internal and external parties to grow business and optimize performance.
The ideal candidate will be a key business driver with strong understanding of online and offline business concepts, practices and procedures. Entrepreneurship, leadership, problem solving and initiative thinking are necessary. The role combines leadership, financial, business development, account management and team management to build talent and deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Performance Management: Manage overall account profitability via P&L management
- Onboard clients and channels on time and ensure successful integration
- Maximize GMV through day-to-day collaboration with clients and channels
- Manage customer budgets and P&L execution including reimbursement to deliver the agreed GMV, Take Rate and Profit
- Ensure optimal product presentation and visibility on online channels
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners
- Establish and monitor progress against key performance indicators
- Advise and execute end-to-end social commerce strategy for international brand owners, including content, sales monitoring, demand growth, supply management, promotions and analytics
- Coordinate with internal departments (tech, warehouse, marketing) and external parties (ad agencies) to troubleshoot and resolve business issues
- Support the Brand Management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Build strong rapport with clients and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Partner Service
- Maintain client relationships and retain client satisfaction
- Serve as the face of aCommerce and primary point of contact for client executives and key stakeholders
- Advise clients on increasing online sales through merchandising, promotion planning and onsite marketing
- Manage fast-growing ecommerce sales for large brand owners through their own web-stores or other channels
- Ensure regular reviews with customers to meet needs and deliver excellent customer service
- Identify and pursue opportunities for enhancements or new services with existing clients
- Inventory management including forecasting, ordering and DOH control
- Present analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders both client-side and internally
Business Development
- Develop strategic direction and plans for all commercial functions in the assigned category
- Pitch new potential client brands and design effective ecommerce solutions in the proposal phase
- Collaborate with Solution Design and Business Development to manage revenue models for new and current partners
- Agree to final SOW commercial conditions
Team Management
- Manage a team of 4+ Senior Account Managers
- Identify and coach team members to take on higher levels of responsibility and deliver high value
Qualifications
- Technical Qualifications
- Very strong commercial and client-facing skills and ability to converse effectively in English
- Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and MS PowerPoint
- Soft Skills and Other Details
- 5+ years of work experience in ecommerce, FMCG, Beauty, Tobacco, internet startups in retail, international brands or account management roles
- Experience managing a team with 3–4 subordinates
- Analytical, data-driven mindset and detail oriented
- Proven ability to communicate and engage cross-functional teams
- Ability to lead projects related to responsible accounts and categories
- Ability to coach and train key specialists to produce high results
