Associate/ Assistant Manager, Agency Business Development (GETB)

Responsible for recruiting, training, leading, and retaining Takaful agents. Key duties include monitoring agent performance, providing counselling and corrective actions, and conducting face‑to‑face training and seminars. Additionally, the role involves organizing customized courses and presentations, assisting in agency development, preparing performance reports, and handling ad‑hoc assignments as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse, manage and monitor the performance of all ranks agents pertaining to the takaful business to ensure they are achieving their annual target.
  • Counsel all ranks agents on the results and take necessary corrective action if overall performance below par.
  • Train and motivate all ranks agents through face‑to‑face meeting, training & seminars.
  • Organize, supervise and implement customized courses, meetings, seminars, talks presentation & training for takaful.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports.
  • Assist in agency recruitment, training & agency development of new takaful agents.
  • Prepare periodic performance agents.
  • Ad‑hoc assignments as and when required.
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Science or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in business development/sales management preferably in agency or business development or training or marketing in financial institutions.
  • Result‑driven, versatile with experience in leading and driving sales team.
  • Strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing personality.
  • Experienced in problem solving and managing stakeholders.
