We are a multi-national company involved developing, manufacturing and marketing for intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I-park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire for Assistant Warehouse Manager.
You will play an important role in:
- Lead warehouse operations: Oversee daily activities to ensure smooth material flow and accurate inventory control.
- Implement best practices: Apply FIFO/FEFO principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize performance.
- Manage inventory: Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels in SAP / WMS systems.
- Collaborate across departments: Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Planning teams to ensure timely material supply.
- Develop your team: Coach and train warehouse staff, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Drive process improvements: Utilize Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other operational excellence tools to enhance efficiency.
- Supervise Warehouse Operations: Manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities, adhering to company standards and audit requirements.
- Optimize Warehouse Layout: Design and implement efficient space utilization and equipment layouts to maximize productivity.
- Lead and Train Team: Guide and motivate your team to solve operational issues and meet performance goals.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow all regulatory standards and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities.
To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and data analysis tools, especially SAP software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required as you would need to liaise with stakeholders from China.
