EDUCATION
- Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable.
- Degree in computer science or related discipline.
CERTIFICATIONS
- CCNA / CCNP or related professional certification is preferred.
- FW / Cloud / Voice related certification is good to have.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience in network engineering and operations
- Experience must include designing / deploying / operating large enterprise complex network environments managing data network infrastructure involving Cisco ACI, Cisco SD‑WAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, DMZ, eCommerce, web load balancing and audit.
- Hands‑on engineering/operations experience with knowledge in the following network technologies: Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, F5 load‑balancers, virtual private network (VPN) concentrators, Cisco ACI, SD‑WAN, AWS cloud services, Microsoft Azure, DNS, proxy, as well as others for all data centers and branches, etc.
- Design, deployment, and troubleshooting experience in multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), border gateway protocol (BGP), open shortest path first (OSPF), enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EIGRP), spanning tree protocol (STP), ether channels, overlay transport virtualization (OTV), virtual private cloud (VPC), virtual datacenter (VDC), and general knowledge around network time protocol (NTP), simple network management protocol (SNMP), NetFlow, Cisco express forwarding (CEF), security protocols, and network management tools including datacenter network manager (DCNM), network assurance engine (NAE), Live Action, SolarWinds, and Wireshark.
- Solid related technical experience with planning, engineering, design, implementation, troubleshooting of complex enterprise networks using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, network management, and monitoring systems.
- Experience with network architecture, IT infrastructure, IT application technologies, and frameworks.
- Functional knowledge and hands‑on experience in QoS design and implementation required.
- Hands‑on architect/engineer/operations level experience on Cisco Nexus, Cat6k, cat4k, 43xx, 44xx, cat9k, cat3k, 3800, 3900 and 2900 required.
- Hands‑on deployment experience on Python and Ansible would be a big plus.
- Practical experience with datacenter and WAN transformational network engineering / operations efforts. ACI, SD‑WAN, and AWS cloud would be a big plus.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to independently design and develop quality of service (QoS) configurations for data, voice, and video deployments, and help troubleshoot any related issues.
- Ability to determine business requirements and provide detailed designs.
- Ability to design, deploy, migrate, and troubleshoot Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and SD‑WAN.
- Ability to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot F5 local traffic managers (LTMs) / global traffic managers (GTMs).
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies on an ongoing basis, identify needs, and make recommendations for new technologies and vendor solutions based on network vision and strategy, leveraging latest industry developments.
- Strong Cisco Nexus 7K, 9K expertise and virtualization required.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network routing/switching issues.
- Ability to maintain excellent network documentation using Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with project delivery methodologies as related to network infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- High level responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and provide support for usage and management of Local Area Network.
- Monitor and address service and availability issues.
- Repair and maintain network devices; support network‑based applications. Monitor and maintain network systems and applications to ensure overall system availability and performance.
- Provide administrative and training support to the user community regarding security and password administration, access privileges and printer access. Install, monitor, upgrade and configure network file server software and hardware; support communication servers, gateways, hubs, switches and routers.
- Respond to monitoring alerts, perform troubleshooting to resolve network incidents, and escape complex issues to the back‑end engineering team. Working with software support and users to install, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain the LAN operating environment.
- Perform system backups on internal and external network servers. Monitor network performance and security to ensure network communications are operating at optimum levels.
- Communicate with customers, engineers and other technical support teams to prevent any potential network incident risks.
- Provide technical support to users; troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems; tuning LAN servers as needed and schedules and follows up on repairs.
- Install network management software; document the network environment and activities. Generate technical reports on the status of network operations including the networks state, incidents numbers and resolutions.

- Deliver on major transformational projects including datacenter reengineering, consolidation, multi‑cloud rationalization and deployments including AWS, Office 365, Cisco ACI, SD‑WAN, replacing Data Center EOS/EOL switches etc.
- Implement designs and deliver on operational objectives by engineering, evaluating, recommending, formulating testing, and implementation of plans for current and new network technology.
- Participate in weekend deployments, on‑call rotation and help resolve critical production issues related to applications and infrastructure components.
- Independently design/deploy Wi‑Fi networks in remote offices.
- Independently design/deploy new LAN/WAN in small/medium/large remote offices.
- Be able to use infoblox IP management and do ip assignments and routine dns changes.
- Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Prepare and complete action plans.
- Design cost effective networks, adhere to MUFG and industry best practices.
- Resolve problems using sniffers, SolarWinds etc.
- Complete audits; identify trends; determine network improvements; implement change.
- Participate in efforts to evolve the long‑term architecture in collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Support implementation of proof‑of‑concepts and lab testing from concept to delivery with an emphasis and focus on emerging technologies.
- Embed information security and risk management principles within culture requiring continuous improvement to complex functions to coordinate security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets.
