A global logistics leader is seeking a Sales Executive to identify and pursue new business opportunities for OOG/Breakbulk cargo in Selangor, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the shipping or logistics industry. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, collaborating with operations teams, and preparing sales reports. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is required.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for OOG/Breakbulk cargo across key industries.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth in the project cargo segment by building and maintaining strong relationships with freight forwarders, project logistics providers, and direct shippers.
Collaborate with operations, technical, and pricing teams to assess cargo feasibility and ensure safe stowage and transport including supporting cargo planning, lifting, lashing, and securing requirements for OOG/Breakbulk shipments.
Provide input on port capabilities and equipment availability for special cargo handling and monitor market trends and identify opportunities and threats.
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
Reports directly to Sales Manager.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Maritime Studies, Sales & Commerce or equivalent.
Candidate with min 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field of shipping / logistics is required for th.
Candidate from shipping / logistics sales background will OOG and break-bulk is compulsory.
Candidate that are aggressive, independent, good team player and a self-starter, excellent communication & negotiation is needed for this role.
Candidate with a strong understanding of international trade regulations and shipping procedures is needed including the ability to analyze market trends and develop sales strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Able to speak and write professional English.
