Job summary

A global leader in innovation is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to drive B2B sales in the commercial branding and transportation sector. This role requires a B.S degree, with a preference for those having a background in marketing or large format inkjet. Candidates should have at least 3 years of sales experience, strong influencing and communication skills, and familiarity with sales tools like SFDC and SAP. The successful candidate will help achieve sales targets and manage client relationships across Malaysia.

Job Description:
Major duties and responsibilities
  1. Establishment and Achievement of Objectives: Understands inkjet and personal auto sales goals and assists manager in establishing business plan. Coordinates efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual objectives. Reassesses objectives and obstacles with manager as necessary. Achieves annual sales targets and objectives.
  2. Sales and Marketing: Learns and applies business unit marketing policies, procedures and plans. Utilizes selling process to achieve sales results. Demonstrates knowledge and use of social selling tools to create connections with large format inkjet and personal auto industry and customers. Learns to demonstrate and train external customers on product applications. Represents CBTD products and promotes them to customers in Malaysia. May provide appropriate sales support services to customers and distributors, based on level of knowledge. Demonstrates understanding of individual product value propositions. Proactively reports all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitor activities, and product performance information to supervisor.
  3. Coordination and Planning: Learns to plan and manage time and resources for effective coverage of territory, communications, and other responsibilities. Works within budget guidelines. Coordinates with other functions to fulfill the tasks.
  4. Administration: Maintains and communicates account and prospect information, maintains company resources, and sales support materials.
  5. Leadership: Develops and establishes relationships with accounts and prospects. Accepts direction as appropriate.
  6. Development: Continuously expected to learn and improve skills relative to the market, products, applications, selling, presentation, communication, administrative, and other skills.
  7. Policy: Learns and applies the business unit's sales policies, practices and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education background requirements: B.S degree; business, marketing or large format inkjet and personal auto background is advantage.
  • At least 3 years sales experiences related to B2B business role.
  • Utilizes selling skills and further develops those skills. Also requires influencing and communication skills, listening, interpersonal, negotiating, presentation, planning, administrative and coordinating skills, and analytical skills.
  • Requires use of computers, including basic Personal Computer (PC) software, SFDC, SAP.
  • Develops basic understanding of large format inkjet and personal auto product lines, customer segments and their needs, divisional/branch functions, and competitive products, prices and policies. Works from standard guidelines. Learns to modify or adapt behavior to changes in the situation or environment to reach a goal.
  • Learns to examine available information in problem situations and uses prior experience to determine the best solution. Represents the company in a manner consistent with 3M's business conduct code and business unit expectations while also promoting the company.
Additional Job Description

Experience at large format inkjet, fleet industrial and auto window film market is preferable.
