Job description

Domestic Emission Trading Scheme (DETS) Development for Malaysia (13/14 Months)

Framework for Reducing Aerospace Emissions (FRAME) (6/7 Months)

Key Responsibilities (DETS Project):

• Supporting data collection, cleaning, and analysis for energy, emissions, and policy-related datasets.
• Assisting in running, validating, and interpreting outputs from DETS / ETS simulation and modelling tools.
• Conducting literature reviews and preparing short policy briefs related to carbon markets, emissions trading schemes, governance frameworks, and MRV systems.
• Supporting the preparation of workshop and stakeholder engagement materials, including presentation slides and briefing notes.
• Taking minutes and notes during meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions, and compiling feedback and key discussion points.
• Assisting in drafting sections of project deliverables, reports, and technical documents.
• Coordinating documents, inputs, and communications with project partners and stakeholders.
• Performing other research and administrative tasks as required by the project team.

Key Responsibilities (FRAME Project):

• Collect, clean, and manage company-level energy and emissions data for the aerospace manufacturing sector.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of the web-based carbon assessment platform.
• Support modelling of GHG emissions and carbon reduction scenarios.
• Conduct literature reviews, compile data from local and international sources, and prepare analytical reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of policy briefs, white papers, and presentations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, industry partners, and project team members for data collection and validation.
• Assist in evaluating economic feasibility and impact of proposed carbon reduction measures.
• Track progress against project objectives and help prepare project deliverables.
