Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Support tender preparation, review contractor bids, and assist in subcontract award processes.
• Carry out measurements and quantify materials/work for tenders, progress claims, and valuations.
• Help analyze project costs, variations, and cost‑saving options.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare simple cost reports and assist with progress claims/certifications.
• Support identification of basic cost or contractual risks.
• Ensure all tasks comply with project requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Senior QS or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Languages: Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and measurement methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.
