A leading procurement company in Malaysia seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials and chemicals. Responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in a relevant field and has a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential for this role.
Support end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials and chemicals, including RFQs, POs, and supplier coordination.
Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and performance while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Analyze quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and implement cost‑saving initiatives aligned with market trends.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement and supplier traceability records, ensuring full material traceability and timely document submission.
Coordinate with Quality Management, Sales, Inventory, Production, Logistics, and Finance teams to support operational needs and customer requirements.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues related to specifications, packaging, and delivery, and manage procurement‑related risks.
Provide regular updates on procurement status, supplier performance, pricing trends, and inventory requirements.
Ensure adherence to the company’s Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures, including compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Report any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and SHE incidents (including near misses).
Perform any other duties as assigned by the direct superior or Directors of the Company.
Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum experience of 2 years in the related position/task.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Analytical and verification skills, communication and coordination ability, technical and system skills (Ms. Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
