A retail company is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising & Production Executive for its Softline import operations. The role requires managing order processing, coordinating with suppliers on production timelines, and preparing reports. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 1-3 years of experience in merchandising or related fields, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong coordination skills and the ability to communicate in Mandarin or Japanese is a plus. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandising & Production Executive to support our Softline import operations. This role involves close coordination with overseas suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth product development, ordering, and delivery processes.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales and inventory analysis reports to support merchandising decisions.
Manage order processing, including order sheet preparation, system updates, and SKU registration.
Coordinate with suppliers on production timelines, sample development, and delivery schedules.
Support supplier onboarding, contract preparation, and related documentation.
Prepare and verify shipping and import documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, etc.).
Coordinate warehouse activities, including delivery scheduling, inbound confirmation, and issue follow-up.
Assist with promotional materials (POP, display cards, packaging stickers) and monitor in-store installation status.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely issuance of delivery orders and tax-related documents.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, Fashion, or related fields.
At least 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, production coordination, or import operations (Retail industry preferred).
Experience handling overseas suppliers and import documentation is an added advantage.
Able to communicate in Mandarin and/or Japanese will be an advantage due to supplier requirements.
Strong coordination skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data reporting.
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
The candidate must be able to work in AEON Taman Maluri, Headquarters officer in Cheras Kuala Lumpur.
