Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end transport activities to ensure timely and accurate execution.
• Oversee transport scheduling and route planning to ensure optimal resource allocation, timely deliveries, and cost efficiency.
• Liaise closely with internal stakeholders, customers, warehouses, and transport vendors to ensure smooth operations, minimise delays, and resolve exceptions effectively.
• Lead, manage, and develop the transport team by providing clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitor daily operations, adjust plans in response to operational changes, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and business priorities.
• Drive optimal vehicle utilisation through effective load planning, route optimisation, and capacity management.
• Ensure adequate manpower planning, skills development, and succession planning to build a competent, motivated, and safety-conscious team aligned with operational objectives.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding agreed service levels (SLAs).
• Proactively manage customer expectations, address service issues promptly, and implement corrective actions to minimise disruptions.

Requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain and any relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in transport operations, fleet management, or logistics, preferably within a distribution, 3PL, or supply chain environment.
• Hands‑on experience managing daily transport operations, delivery performance, and vendor coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations, route planning, scheduling, and fleet utilisation.
• Familiar with local statutory and regulatory requirements including JPJ and OSHA compliance.
• Experience in managing transport KPIs such as on‑time delivery, vehicle utilisation, cost per trip, and service level adherence.
