Job summary

An automotive company in Selangor is searching for a Supply Chain Manager to develop supply assurance strategies and manage vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields and a minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive supply chain. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential. Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required for effective communication and translation. The role is located at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

  • Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.

  • Monitor Supplier Assurance's KPIs and liaise with Proton GTP team.

Job description

Developing Supply Assurance strategies that inventive and cost effectively.

To source and engage reliable vendors (current, EOP & EOP+)

Negotiating with vendors to secure advantageous term

To develop key performance metrics for vendors, review and evaluate vendors performance.

To view and check purchase orders (PO), organizing and confirming ETD from vendors up to ETA at PPCSB.

Determine on incoterm before parts issue out from country origin and also mode of transport - by Sea or by Air (oversea vendors).

Lead on back order meeting with various department and preparing back order reports for upper management.

Manage to achieve and monitoring Supplier Assurance's KPIs. Liaise with Proton GTP team for every problematic vendor.

Communicate effectively with overseas supplier and to ensure arrive within time frame. Liaise closely with Finance team for debt issue to avoid any delay supply vendor.

Fully monitoring with Sales, Finance & Planning department to ensure Company KPI on sales & revenue are meet.

Data analysis including annual review, spend analysis, budgeting, costing, forecasting and strategic planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Possessed Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration/ Automotive.

Minimum 4 years of working experience Supply Chain Management and preferable in automotive field.

Strong in analytical skills, problem solving skills and negotiation skills.

Able to speak, read and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin as the candidate requires to do translation.

Able to work individually & team works.

Well verse with warehouse operation is an advantage.

Candidate must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
