Job description

We are seeking candidates with experience in Insurance, Capital Market, Unit Trust and Investment Industry background. The duties and responsibilities of Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive, Finance, but are not limited to the followings:

To review/assist in the production of the overall Financial Reports of Phillip Capital Sdn Bhd and Phillip Nominees including general ledger, account receivables, account payable, etc;

To assist in the production of Financial Reports;

Ensure Finance Manual is duly updated on a timely manner whenever the authorities come out with amended/revised or new rules/guidelines or changes in Company’s policies and to obtain approval for revising/amending the Finance Manual;

Prepare Bursa Submission – Weekly & Monthly Bursa Form A, Daily & Monthly Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Weekly & Quarterly Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) and Weekly Investment Private Debt (IPD), Quarterly P&L, Monthly Off Balance Sheet, Monthly Gearing Ratio;

Prepare SC Submission: Annual audited FS, Semi-annual financial data collection (Comrep), Monthly Investment Details Report, Monthly Broker Report;

Internal compliance: Monthly KRI, Semi-annual Brainstorming, Monthly Margin Financing, Semi-annual counterparty reporting (global);

To handle full set of accounts and ensure the closing of monthly and yearly accounts are carried out timely and accurately;

To prepare audit and tax schedule for annual statutory audit and tax return submission;

To update a cashbook on a daily basis (payment and receipt);

To perform monthly profit & loss and balance sheet analysis, petty cash / bank reconciliation and identify the variances;

To review/prepare inter-company repayment and company expenses;

To liaise with auditor, tax agents, and other external parties when needed;

To review/prepare SST-02 report and ensure SST transaction are taken up accurately;

To perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation including solving unreconciled items in a timely and accurate manner.

Follow up with branches on the information requested in the bank reconciliation.

To undertake any assignments as required by superior and management;

Strong leadership, communication, analytical skill and problem solving skill.

Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Able to supervise, guide, and support junior finance staff.

Good understanding of financial reporting, audit, taxation, and statutory compliance.
