Job summary

A leading data center provider in Malaysia is seeking a knowledgeable Learning and Development Manager to oversee training initiatives and facilitate effective talent management. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Learning and Development, a Bachelor's degree in human resources, and be comfortable conducting both in-person and virtual training sessions. The role involves planning training programs, analyzing performance, and supporting new joiners through coaching and development activities.

  • Experienced with fast-paced, complex, international operations.

Job description

Plan, execute, evaluate and analyze all learning initiatives in support of the business' people strategy and priorities

Manage the overall training and development curriculum, and training resources

Implement the L&D initiatives locally

Conduct and design global training workshops, courses, as well as career plans

Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants

Lead the design of talent development initiatives across offices and curate a culture that empowers the talent capabilities of the organisation

Support the development of new joiners through onboarding, training and coaching

Collect, analyse and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning)

Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning

Identify performance gaps and work with managers to develop and implement appropriate training to improve performance

Drive brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities

Assists with the development of the Training budget as required.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in Learning and Development including talent management working experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Ability to work directly with Senior Management and manage within a matrix organization.
  • Must be comfortable facilitating in-person stand-up training and virtual training programs through MS Teams.
  • Experienced with fast-paced large volume, dynamic, complex, international operations.
