A leading property management firm in Malaysia seeks an experienced individual to conduct investigations and manage consequence management activities involving corruption and misconduct. The candidate should possess a minimum bachelor's degree in law with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include leading investigations, preparing reports for management, and collaborating with teams to enhance corporate governance practices. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Conduct / lead investigations and consequence management activities involving corruption, abuse of power, malpractice, violation of code of ethics and conduct as well as assisting in the enhancement and monitoring of the integrity culture and corporate governance in ensuring transparent, controlled and corruption-free business activities within company.
Perform and lead investigations of allegations of fraud or misconduct in accordance with policy and applicable professional standards. Includes investigation scoping, planning, fieldwork (document analysis, interviews, field visits, etc.) and prosecution preparations.
Provide clear and concise reports (verbal and written) of findings and recommendations to the Head of Department and to relevant Integrity management related to findings and necessary corrective actions.
Collaborate with management team to provide anti-corruption consulting and advisory services, ensuring that corruption risks and lessons learned from investigations are shared internally and incorporated into policies and procedures.
Prepare reports and presentations for management, and Audit Committee meetings related to investigation and whistleblowing channels performance and effectiveness.
Collaborate with enforcement agencies in investigative matters where necessary.
Initiate consequence management i.e. preparation of show cause letter, charge letters and act as the prosecuting officer in domestic inquiries process.
Support development of protocols (including policies, procedures, timelines, roles, and responsibilities) for communicating the use of the whistleblower channels and properly conducting investigations while respecting the principles of confidentiality, objectivity, and impartiality.
Support other units within department.
Minimum bachelor's degree in law or equivalent fields.
CeIO/Certified Internal Auditor/ Chartered Certified Accounting will be an added advantage.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in related field.
Good communication skills with ability to articulate clearly to Senior Management, consultants or external advisors.
Strong analytical skills, interviewing, reporting, planning and problem-solving abilities.
Good planning and organizing skills, and capacity for multi-tasking.
Demonstrate independence and objectivity on cases/ tasks assigned.
