As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in forging, developing, and implementing high-impact and strategic collaborations within your entrusted portfolio(s). You will lead initiatives, manage relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders, and take charge of projects that span complex cross‑functional business verticals and product teams. In this role, your leadership and project management skills will be central to delivering localized solutions that empower growth in our markets while you prioritize the teams’ objectives.

The role reports to the Managing Director, Group Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, offering a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking, precise execution, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive significance in Grab's partnership programs.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
  • You will oversee and deliver partnerships end‑to‑end, from commercial negotiation to deal closure, ensuring projects meet their goals and timelines with precision.
  • You will analyze market needs and priorities, translating insights into strategies and opportunities to strengthen and expand partnerships.
  • You will present and align partnership strategies with internal teams and act as a communication bridge to external stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of partnership initiatives.
  • You will manage and mitigate challenges in cross‑functional project execution, with a systematic approach to problem‑solving.
  • You will prepare detailed reports and conduct business reviews for Grab management to highlight progress, outline challenges, and propose next steps.
  • You will innovate and seek opportunities to leverage AI technologies to optimize workflows and drive efficiency in partnership operations.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
  • At least 3 years of experience in strategic partnerships, global strategy, or business intelligence. Experience in the Automotive or Energy sectors will be advantageous for this position.
  • Proficiency in blending business, strategy, finance, and legal principles to manage and execute multifaceted deals effectively.
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities to manage and execute multiple complex initiatives with precision and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that foster negotiation, stakeholder alignment, and influence in English and Mandarin. (Mandarin proficiency is required due to frequent engagement with global stakeholders in Chinese‑speaking markets.)
  • Experience in exploring and adopting AI technologies to optimize processes and enhance efficiency in partnership workflows.
  • Capability to operate independently under ambiguous conditions and gain stakeholder trust while driving initiatives forward.
