Managing the day to day operations of the Personal Accident and Health Underwriting with the objective of ensuring effective and efficient Underwriting process and Portfolio Management of the Accident & Health portfolio.

With The Job
  • Oversee the end-to-end operations of Personal Accident and Health Underwriting.
  • Keep abreast of regulations and industry standards and ensure alignment with organization's SOPs to achieve sustainable and profitable underwriting outcome.
  • Coach junior team members
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Requirements
  • Possess a tertiary qualification or General Insurance Professional Qualification e.g. ACII/AMII/AAII.
  • More than 7 years’ experience in general insurance underwriting and/or analytics role.
  • Product Knowledge - Insurance Industry, Underwriting Skills.
  • Decision making, Problem solving.
  • Information seeking and keen sense of responsibility and commitment to results.
  • Knowing the market information on underwriting and claims.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
