They are seeking a highly capable and results-oriented professional to support the daily operational, financial, and people management aspects of a major production estate.

Aim of the Job

To assist the Estate Manager in driving daily operational excellence, ensuring that production output, quality targets, and expenditure controls are consistently met to maximize profitability and adhere to all internal management plans.

Key Responsibilities & Activities
1. Operational Leadership and Planning
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day divisional operations as directed by the Estate Management.
  • Develop and prepare the overall estate budget and costing summaries.
  • Set clear work objectives, progress planning, and direction for team execution as required by management.
  • Monitor daily cost efficiency and productivity using established costing and tracking systems.
  • Manage all resources, including labor allocation, machinery utilization, and building maintenance.
2. Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and all associated standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all work areas.
  • Provide necessary training and coaching to staff to ensure practices are followed correctly.
3. Financial Control and Administration
  • Verify and confirm all financial submissions, ensuring payments and claims comply with Company policies and are supported by accurate documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and compiling essential management reports, including monthly progress reports and financial summaries, as required.
4. People Management and Team Synergy
  • Drive team collaboration toward achieving overall company directives and estate goals.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to estate staff to ensure high-performance delivery against targets.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of working experience in oil palm plantation and large-scale agriculture operations.
Professional Competencies
  • Good knowledge of budgeting, accounting standards, and systems used in the agriculture/plantation sector.
  • Proficient in using computers, including document management software, database systems, and Microsoft Office (including Outlook).
Personal Qualities
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Possess high integrity, commitment, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent time management, communication (English and Bahasa Malaysia), and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, seek assistance when needed, and lead large operational teams.
