Job summary

A leading print solutions provider in Kedah is seeking an Assistant Manager for Environment, Health & Safety. You will implement EHS policies, manage compliance, and promote sustainability within the organization. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience in EHS and strong knowledge of applicable regulations. This role offers the opportunity to drive safety and sustainability initiatives in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing Environment, Safety & Health.
  • Strong knowledge of Environment, Safety & Health Acts & Regulations.
  • Valid driving license (B2/D) and health screening.

Assistant Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Lead and implement Environment, Safety and Health policies, manuals and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations on incidents, accidents, and occupational diseases.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (DOE, DOSH/ JKKP) and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Manage hazardous waste storage and disposal as per authority requirements.
  • Advise, recommend and implement safety measures for improvement.
  • Focus on preventive controls to minimize environmental risks.
  • Promote and integrate sustainability practices (energy saving, waste reduction, resource efficiency) into EHS operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Provide EHS training and awareness programmes for employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on EHS and sustainability matters.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for compliance and improvement tracking.

Must hold valid driving license (B2/D) and pass health screening & color test.

Requirements
  • Education: Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in managing Environment, Safety & Health.
  • Competency: CEPSWAM & CEPIETSO PCP (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of Environment, Safety & Health Acts & Regulations.
  • Independent, strong in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
