Responsibilities
- Co-lead the Corporate Development unit and jointly manage the pooling of executives in GCDS.
- Manage corporate finance assignments, including valuation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial advisory.
- Conduct feasibility studies, financial modelling, and project advisory.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, appraise investments, and provide recommendations to management.
- Analyse management accounts and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Advise on and prepare proposals for fund and capital raising exercises.
- Monitor the progress of corporate finance submissions with relevant authorities and ensure timely and appropriate responses to regulatory queries.
- Assist in evaluating, implementing, and executing corporate proposals, corporate finance initiatives, and capital raising exercises.
- Liaise with investment banks, legal advisors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review materials related to the structuring of financing proposals for fundraising and corporate exercises.
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Assess debt financing options and review related legal and financing documents.
- Lead and manage M&A activities and investment evaluations.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence processes, including engagement with potential targets, advisors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure timely transaction completion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in banking, accounting, corporate finance, or project finance.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, MIA, CIA are an added advantage.
- Experience in corporate banking, investment banking, or corporate finance is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and financial modelling.
- Strong proposal preparation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and financial theory.
- Independent, resourceful team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented, committed, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking, Islamic Finance, Business Management (Finance) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of financing documents and negotiation skills.
