ASSISTANT MANAGER, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

We are Malaysia’s leading Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) and we are aggressively expanding our business, and looking for dynamic, driven and motivated individuals to join our team. Our Direct-To-Consumer segment (D2C), is one of our fastest growing product areas in the market, with an abundance of expansion plans and innovative ideas on hand.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for implementing the company’s internal and external communications strategy, communications projects, workflows, content and copywriting. The role will lead corporate communications, media relations, provide investor communications and internal employee engagement support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project & Workflow Management
  • Develop and manage corporate communication projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders to manage deliverables efficiently.
  • Maintain communications trackers, calendars, and dashboards for visibility and alignment across teams.
Content & Copywriting
  • Draft, review,and edit corporate content including press releases, speeches, LinkedIn copy, newsletters, and corporate collaterals.
  • Ensure messaging consistency and adherence to the company’s corporate identity (CI) and brand guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
  • Support the marketing team in managing media relations(PR matters, media invites, media value reporting)
  • Manage marketing PR vendor on media relations and PRmatters.
  • Partner with business leaders, human resources and events teams to deliver business-client engagement and employer events with strong storytelling and brand presence.
Internal Brand Advocacy
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to nurture employees as brand ambassadors
  • Align internal campaigns with external brand-building initiatives
Governance & Reporting
  • Uphold version control, approval workflows, and compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
  • Track Communications KPIs (reach, engagement, leads, perception studies) and prepare periodic reports for management.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related discipline
Work Experience
  • 6+years of relevant experience in communications, media relations or public affairs
  • Experience working with senior leadership, media, government agencies and institutional investors
  • Experience in a public listed company in financial services, fintech, technology, or regulated industry is preferred
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing, editing, and copy development and storytelling skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficient in media engagement, press handling, and reputation management
  • Familiarity with financial communications, investor relations, or sustainability communications is an advantage
  • Experience developing annual reports in accordance with Bursa Malaysia disclosure requirements and corporate governance standards
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and execution excellence
