Job summary

A leading development company in Johor Bahru is seeking an Assistant Manager for Contract Administration. The role requires ensuring compliance with company policies, managing the preparation of tender documents, and supervising coordination between architects and engineers. Candidates will need to monitor statutory requirements and advise the project team on contractual claims.   • Manage preparation of tender documents like bill of quantities and specifications.
  • Monitor coordination of contract administration professionals.
  • Ensure measurement of quantities reflects specifications accurately.
  • Ensure compliance of specifications documents with statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors for technical specifications and costs.
  • Update tender documents based on feedback and recalculate costs.
  • Advise project team on contractual claims as required.
Job description
ASSISTANT MANAGER, CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations.

Work closely with Group Contract team in the feasibility studies in order to determine the economic value of projects.

Manage and supervise the preparation of tender documents (e.g. bill of quantities, specifications, contract conditions, drawings etc).

Monitor and ensure that contract administration professionals are coordinating effectively with the various architects and engineers throughout the project (planning, concept, preliminary, final etc.).

Ensure that the measurement of quantities for building materials specified for the BoQ accurately reflects the specifications and drawings prepared by architects and engineers.

Ensure that all specifications documents for all designs comply with statutory requirements; ensure that the specifications document is updated to reflect any changing statutory requirements.

Coordinate with various contractors in order to develop an understanding of the technical specifications, costs and prices of their supplies.

Ensure that tender documents are updated based on feedback attained and that costs are re-calculated where designs or specifications are altered.

Advise the project team on contractual claims raised by contractors (as and when required).
