Job Purpose
The role focuses on providing enhanced oversight, support, and assurance to ensure that risk and compliance incidents for Distribution Channel (mainly for Corporate Takaful Business (CTB) and Partnership Distribution (Banca) are effectively identified, assessed and managed.
The Job
- Support Manager on the Risk and Compliance matters for Corporate Takaful Business (CTB) and Partnership Distribution/Banca.
- Work closely with CTB/Banca and Department Risk Officer (DRO) on any incidents/breaches of which require escalation through ICER and Management reporting.
- Work closely with CTB/Banca on the rectification/remediation action plans involving business processes to mitigate risks and minimize breaches/findings.
- Perform periodic review on CTB/Banca SOP, Manual and Framework to ensure up-to-date and as per current standards.
- Support Manager on Customer Fact Find (CFF) Form review as per the MTA’s Best Practice for Agency and Banca.
- Conduct the review and completion of Compliance Requirements Self-Assessment (CRSA) via eGRC system for Banca and CTB, including Fair Treatment of Financial Consumers (FTFC) and work closely with Department Compliance Officer (DCO).
- Responsible to manage Business Continuity Management (BCM) Workbook for Agency Distribution and Distribution Channel Training and performing Call-Tree exercise, including Desktop Walkthrough.
- Conduct the review and completion of Annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) via eGRC system for Agency Distribution.
- To manage Outsourcing arrangement (not limited to Annual Outsourcing Review) for Agency Distribution and Distribution Channel Training.
- Work closely with Manager for any enhancement and rectification plan, derived from incidents or gaps identified, including from the Internal Audit findings within CTB/Banca (if any).
- Handle other administrative matters and ad-hoc tasks for Business Risk and Compliance unit.
Our Requirements
- Minimum degree holder in related discipline (e.g. Accounting / Finance / Law / Actuarial)
- 3-4 years’ of experience in Risk Management / Compliance.
- Having in depth knowledge of the Takaful industry, particularly in Risk Management / Compliance
- Possess good competencies, e.g leadership, problem solving, interpersonal skills, impact, business expertise, business acumen.
- Meticulous, systematic and able to work as a team.
- High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
