Job summary

A leading water treatment company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance team responsible for 24/7 operations. This role requires skills in budgeting, leadership, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge in drinking water production and plastic injection is an advantage.

Job description

Manage and lead the maintenance team consisting of Executive, Technician and Operators in supporting to 24/7 maintenance processes and operations

Managing budgets and control of expenses for maintenance dept.

Maintain all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.

Develop, improve and implement maintenance procedures and work instruction.

Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

Plan and manage of routine repair and installation activities.

Take charge of new projects on machinery and equipment installation, commissioning and tests.

Manage inventory of spare parts of machines.

Attend to auditor and any audit related matters.

Job Requirement :

Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

A minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance.

Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintenance.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.

Effective budgeting and performance management.

Good organizational and leadership skills.

Hands‑on electrical/mechanical trouble‑shooting know‑how.

Works well with technical team to meet the tight deadlines.

Strong on management reporting with capability in mechanical drawings, proficiency in MS Office and related communication tools.

Excellent leadership and management skills.

Experience in Food Manufacturing Environment.

Knowledge in drinking water production is added advantage.

Knowledge in plastic injection is added advantage.
