As an Assistant Finance Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial stability to support Lee’s mission of food equality. By managing key accounting functions, driving process improvements, and leveraging tools like ERP systems and artificial intelligence, you’ll provide actionable financial insights. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, auditors, and external stakeholders, you’ll support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, helping millions access affordable, quality food across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, Cash Flow and taxes.
- Assist the Head of Finance in coordinating period-end closing activities in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Review journal entries for company accounts, ensuring information is accurate and up to date, including deferred taxation.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statements; research more complex discrepancies and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Prepare monthly cash flow and cash flow projections to management.
- Strategise on fund procurement through banks and other financial institutions for working capital and assets financing.
- Develops and improves spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries to keep records organised and standardised.
- You will also be involved in ensuring strong internal controls and overseeing improvements within the team.
- Participate in system updates and internal control activities.
- You will also be working with external and internal audit teams for yearly audit planning and managing relevant requests/queries related to the audit.
- Manage enquiries from tax consultants, bankers and statutory boards.
- Responsible for staff (Travel & Expenditure) claims, which includes reviewing and approving the claims before reimbursements.
- Conduct and coordinate month-end closing activities with related departments.
- Generate, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate and work with the external auditor for the annual financial statements audit.
- Identify, design and implement accounting processes and contents for new accounting standards/regulations and new business initiatives.
- Improve and automate current accounting controls and processes by collaborating with the Information Technology team.
- Other accounting/finance functions/missions business may require.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or professional qualifications in Finance/Accounting, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- At least 5 years experience in a finance or accounting position.
- Well versed with MFRS.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation.
- Analytical thinking with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with good organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent report-writing, communication skills and presentation skills.
- Good attitude and interpersonal skills.
