Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee daily accounting and financial operations, including cash flow management and reporting. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in finance, with substantial supervisory experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency with ERP systems. This role offers the opportunity to lead a multi-functional team, engage in process improvement, and interact with external parties.

Qualifications

Job description

Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing daily accounting and finance operations.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Manage and monitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.

Review and ensure timely closing of monthly accounts.

Handle tax matters including SST submissions and liaising with tax agents.

Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and other external parties.

Supervise and mentor junior finance/ accounting staff.

Actively engage with other departments/business units to resolve and improve operational issues.

Responsible for preparing ad hoc reports for management purposes.

To undertake any task or assignment as may be assigned to you by your immediate superior or Management from time to time.

Requirements

8 years in finance, accounting, or financial operations.

At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Experience managing multi-functional finance teams is an advantage.

Strong understanding of finance operations, internal controls, and compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proficiency with ERP system and financial reporting tools

Strong analytical and decisions-making skill.

Ability to manage high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
