A prestigious hospitality group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of its hotels. The candidate will prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with regulations, and mentor the finance team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, significant experience in a similar role, and excellent leadership skills. Assist the Cluster Director of Finance in overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations of our hotels, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and hotel policies.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Coordinate and supervise the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
Conduct regular financial audits and internal controls to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Guide and supervise the Accounting, Materials, and IT departments.
Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to assist decision‑making.
Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
Oversee tax filings and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
