A leading retail chain in Malaysia is seeking a dependable cashier responsible for managing cash transactions at the counter, ensuring accuracy in processing sales, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and maintain an organized workstation. Educational qualifications include SPM or equivalent. Responsible for managing and handling money at the counter during shift hours.
Accurately count the money in the cash box and ensure it matches the records.
At the end of the shift, hand over the cash in the cash box to the designated authority, following company procedures.
Process customer transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are recorded and payments are processed correctly.
Greet customers, provide assistance with inquiries, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
Ensure that the cashier area is clean, organized, and well‑stocked with necessary materials (e.g., receipt paper, bags, etc.).
Must be dependable in handling cash and maintaining accuracy during transactions. Reliability in following cash procedures is essential.
Must be detail‑oriented, ensuring accurate counting of cash and ensuring all transactions are correctly processed.
Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
Ability to maintain an organized workstation and efficiently manage cash transactions and paperwork.
Capable of communicating effectively with customers and team members, especially in resolving any issues or concerns related to transactions.
Must have a strong sense of responsibility and honesty when handling cash and ensuring the security of financial transactions.
