Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and follow-ups.
  • Perform data entry of accounting transactions into the accounting system accurately and timely.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and monthly closing activities.
  • Support preparation of basic financial reports and schedules as required.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records, invoices, and vouchers.
  • Assist in monitoring outstanding receivables and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Support fixed asset record updates and basic tracking.
  • Assist during audits by preparing supporting documents and schedules.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external parties (e.g. auditors, banks, vendors) on routine accounting matters.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to finance and accounts.
  • Undertake other related tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Well-organized, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Willing to learn and able to work with guidance.
  • A team player who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
System / Software Proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with emerging software trends and AI-powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT, automation applications) is an added advantage to improve efficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and process automation.
