Job summary

Overview

Construction Division - Johor Bahru | Full Time | 5-day work week

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review full set of accounts and all supporting schedules for monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax schedules for yearly tax submissions, quarterly related party transactions and financial assistance reports and other related statutory and management reports.
  • Assist in and coordinate the preparation of consolidated accounts, annual budgets and cash flow projections, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Review reconciliation of accounting records with suppliers and bank statements, investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors and other relevant parties to resolve accounting and audit matters.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as defined in the Company’s Quality System and internal control framework.
  • Support finance management in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
