Job Description

Location: Shah Alam/Malaysia

Our team in Shah Alam currently has an opening for a Area Sales Manager - Personal Care, HI&I.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve or exceed annual agreed sales budget and margin objectives for the assigned territory or market segments while maintaining expenses within assigned budget guidelines.
  • Maintain an existing account base and identify and develop growth opportunities within the assigned sector to expand market coverage and penetration.
  • Responsible for payment collection.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring the marketing plan, carry out market surveys as agreed with the manager to formulate plans, evaluate market conditions, and recommend appropriate next steps to maximize sales output.
  • Participate in the preparation and implementation of the annual budget for the area of accountability.
  • Identify and report potential sales growth opportunities and factors influencing Brenntag’s local marketing plans and objectives.
  • Work with the assigned customer service representative and technical resources (internal and external) to ensure a level of service that meets customers’ requirements.
  • Establish strong business relationships with the existing customer base and develop value relationships with potential clients to expand business.
  • Utilize the Brenntag Sales Process and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database in a timely manner, completing all other assigned reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted with health, safety, quality, and environment management systems, as well as corporate and local policies.
  • Perform related duties other than those stipulated above as required from time to time.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Science or any related field.
  • At least 1-2 years’ sales and marketing experience in a related field.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Interpersonal understanding.
  • Committed to excellence and initiative.
  • Excellent business/commercial acumen.

  • Good knowledge of related products/business industry.
