Overview

We are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager for one of the APAC-leading players in the FMCG space. This position can be based anywhere in the East Coast, and covers 3 regions - Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan.

Role details
  • Reporting to: Assistant Vice President
  • Location: East Coast (Pahang/Terengganu/Kelantan)
  • Team size: 4 direct reports
  • Join a key FMCG player in an autonomous, field-based role to manage a team and pioneer regional growth.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of four sales representatives across Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan to achieve and exceed regional sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the lower trade channel, focusing on developing new accounts and expanding market presence.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key general trade distributors and wholesalers, ensuring effective product distribution and channel growth.
  • Oversee regional operations including credit collection, stock level management, and in-store merchandising, providing regular reports on performance.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of FMCG sales experience.
  • General Trade (GT) experience is essential.
  • Detail-oriented and strategic thinker with strong data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel across the East Coast.
