Application Specialist (Histology & Cytology) (13th Month Bonus) (ID: 689423)

Position Summary: The Application Specialist delivers expert application, product, and training support for histopathology instruments and consumables across Southeast Asia and South Asian countries. The role ensures optimal product performance and workflow efficiency through training, troubleshooting, and consultation for customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support, Troubleshooting & Consultation

• Collaborate with distributors and engineers to resolve application or performance issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Japan-based application specialist team to ensure consistent solutions.
• Provide workflow assessments and optimization advice for laboratory operations.

Product & Application Training & Workshops

• Deliver on-site and remote training on histology products for distributors and engineers.
• Evaluate distributors’ proficiency and product performance post-training.
• Develop training materials, user guides, and presentations.
• Conduct workshops and seminars at exhibitions or customer sites.

Regulatory Support

• Manage regulatory affairs, including medical device registration in Malaysia.
• Collaborate with regulatory, marketing, and service teams to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Product & Process Improvement

• Collect and analyze market and user feedback to enhance product usability.
• Support the development and standardization of application procedures and documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in histology laboratories; cytology experience is an advantage.
• Experience in tissue grossing and intraoperative rapid response is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover slipping.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.
