We are looking for a passionate and driven Application Engineer (AE) to join our team, specializing in Signal Design Automation. In this role, you will work with customers across industries to design, simulate, and deploy advanced algorithms and workflows in Signal Processing, Image Processing & Computer Vision (IPCV), Communications, and optionally Robotics and ADAS.
You will work closely with our Sales and Marketing colleagues to identify customer needs, demonstrate technical value, and position our solutions in electrification domains such as electric vehicles, power electronics, renewable energy, and battery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to support presales activities including presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
- Engage with customers to understand engineering challenges and propose solutions.
- Deliver technical workshops, training sessions, and seminars on electrification and control systems design.
- Develop and showcase workflows for simulation, code generation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to capture customer requirements and feedback for product/solution development.
- Build technical content (demos, case studies, presentations) tailored to industry use cases in electrification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or Computer Science.
- A minimum of three years of professional working experience as Engineer or Researcher.
- Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, C/C+++, Python or similar.
- Experience in working with electronic hardware such as microcontroller and DSP.
- Application knowledge areas include at least one of the following: Signal Processing and Communications, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Mechatronics.
- Strong desire and ability to work with customers and turn their needs into actionable plans.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Highly motivated toward working directly with customers.
- Able to travel regionally.
- Willing to travel domestically within Malaysia.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work on multiple projects with ability to multi-task.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with FPGA, embedded C code generation, or HIL testing.
- Knowledge of AI/ML for electrification applications.
- Prior exposure to presales, consultancy, or technical customer support.
