Job description

Overview

The ideal candidate shall work alongside with Engineering Team to provide supports on customer’s vision-based solution for automation and inspection system. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting machine vision systems such as AOI machines both in-house and on-site. Tasks include mechanical adjustments, hardware integration (lighting, cameras, lenses, etc.), customer training, feasibility evaluations, and maintaining clear daily communication and reporting with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Onsite system setup and testing for machine vision system such as Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine.
• Troubleshooting and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Minor and basic mechanical fine-tuning and adjustment in-house and on-site.
• Integrate and configure machine vision related hardware such as lighting, controller, camera, lenses and optics.
• Conduct customer training on system operation, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Perform sample evaluation to study machine vision / motion control feasibility.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure tasks and action items are well followed up on-site.
• Perform daily reporting through email to customers and respective teams on daily activities.

Qualifications

• Preferably Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate in Engineering (preferably Electrical / Electronic) or equivalent.
• Chinese speaker proficiency is preferred to liaise with customers.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting on equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine vision / image processing / motion control is an added advantage.
• Preferable 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
• Responsible, able to work independently, initiative and good interpersonal skills.
• Discipline, strong time management skill, multi-tasking with priority planning.
• Able to travel locally / overseas.
