Overview

As we accelerate our growth in APAC, we are seeking a Trainer passionate in skincare and professional spa treatments to support the brand’s development in the region.

The trainer is responsible for delivering world class training across Elemis retail boutiques, counter, spa and partner accounts. This role ensures that all sales associates, therapists and sales team embody the ELEMIS brand philosophy, product expertise, and treatment excellence. The trainer will support sales performance through education, coaching and engagement initiatives while fostering strong relationships with retail sales team, HR, marketing and business partner. This role is supporting the Training Manager for SEA markets (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia) to elevate retail excellence, professional facial treatments in ELEMIS boutiques and counters, as well as with partner Spas and retailers in professional spa treatments.

You will play an important role, such as:

Responsibilities
  • Training & Program Development: Develop and customize engaging training programs for retail sales advisor and spa therapists, covering product knowledge, treatment protocols, sales techniques and brand standards. Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires and refresher courses for existing staff to keep employee updates on industry trends, product innovations and customer service excellence. Adapt training content for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with brand philosophy. Certify therapists in Elemis spa treatments and ensure adherence to protocol. Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations for beauty advisors, sales teams, and retail staff as well as spa therapists.
  • Performance Coaching: Partner with sales and retail teams to drive performance through on-the-floor coaching for beauty advisors and therapists to reinforce training concepts and improve individual and team performance. Identify skill gaps through observation and feedback, providing tailored coaching to address specific development needs. Track employees progress post-training and provide actionable feedback to ensure continuous growth.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assess the effectiveness of training programs using participant feedback, role-play assessments, and sales performance metrics. Refine training programs based on evaluation results to enhance relevance and impact. Prepare and share detailed training reports with management, highlighting improvements and future recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, marketing, and product teams to align training initiatives with business goals and brand objectives. Collaborate with product development teams to gain in-depth knowledge of formulations, benefits, and applications, incorporating this into training materials. Work with the sales team to ensure training directly supports sales and customer engagement goals.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on beauty industry trends, competitor offerings, and innovative training techniques. Integrate best practices and creative methods into training to keep programs engaging and impactful. Share insights on customer behavior and emerging trends with internal teams to refine strategies.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, employee participation, and performance assessments. Manage training schedules and logistics to ensure seamless execution of programs across multiple locations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Cosmetics, or a related field. Certification in Cidesco/CIBTAC or equivalent
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in training and development, with a strong background in the beauty, retail and spa industry
  • Product Expertise: Deep understanding of skincare and body care, professional spa tools, including their benefits and usage.
  • Training Skills: Proven ability to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions tailored to the beauty retail and spa industry.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Strong knowledge of delivering high-quality customer experiences in a retail beauty environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate participants.
  • Coaching Skills: Skilled in providing constructive feedback and personalized coaching to enhance performance.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong project management and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using training tools, e-learning platforms, and virtual training software.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to stores or training locations and adapt to flexible work schedules.
